Sea-Land Chemical Co., Specialty Chemical Distributor, Announces Internal Promotion

Sea-Land Chemical Co. is pleased to announce the promotion of Matthew Mapus to the position of Director of Marketing. In his new leadership role, Mapus is responsible for supporting revenue growth through execution of the company marketing strategy, as well as management of the marketing, product management, technical resources and regulatory compliance departments. Mapus has over 15 years of serving customers in the chemical industry. Since joining the company in 2008, he has held operations positions in marketing and product management, in addition to supporting roles in technical resources and regulatory compliance

Mapus is involved in several industry trade associations, serving on the Convention Committee with the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) and the Cleveland section of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE). His educational background includes a bachelor’s of science degree from Heidelberg College and a master’s of business administration degree from Cleveland State University.

Founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1964, Sea-Land Chemical Co. is an employee-owned distributor of specialty chemicals. The company provides a variety of products to the lubricants; household, industrial & institutional cleaner; coatings and adhesives; and rubber and plastics industries. The company employs technically adept sales professionals and serves markets across the United States and through its two subsidiaries, Canada and Europe. Currently there are nine strategically located warehouses in North America and two warehouses in Europe.
