Sea-Land Chemical Company Names New Director of Marketing and Announces Promotions

Westlake, OH, October 1, 2020 – Sea-Land Chemical Company, a leading global chemical distributor of specialty additives for the lubricants industry and household, industrial and institutional cleaning market, today announced Doug Honig as Director of Marketing, and several promotions.
Honig held key leadership positions in marketing, digital communications, and vendor management at Parker Hannifin Corporation for the past 14 years, recently serving as Digital Merchandising and eCommerce Campaign Manager. Prior to working at Parker Hannifin, Honig was the manager of Public Relations and Employee Communications at Picker International.
Honig earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.
Matt Mapus has been promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective September 1. In addition to responsibility over the marketing and technical departments, Mapus will now lead the North American sales team. He will be supporting Vice President of the East Region, Christy Henley, and Vice President of the West Region, Jack McKenna, and their regional sales teams.
Mapus has been with the company for 12 years, serving as Vice President of Marketing, Product Manager and Marketing Specialist. Prior to Sea-Land, Mapus spent 8 years in technical service and sales for Nalco Company and PPG Industries. Mapus holds his Bachelor of Science from Heidelberg University and MBA from Cleveland State University.
Ted McClure has been promoted to Director of Technical Resources. McClure started at Sea-Land in 2014. Before joining Sea-Land, he owned Tribsys LLC, a consulting and testing company in Valparaiso, IN for 14 years. Earlier, McClure was an R & D Director at Fuchs for 5 years, and Vice President, Technical for Franklin Oil Corp for 11 years. He is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world. He is the author of multiple technical publications, holds a CMFS certification, is the treasurer of the North American Deep Drawing Research Group (NADDRG), and is past chairman of the Chicago Section of STLE.
Brittany Hennings has been promoted to the role of Marketing Communications Manager and will report to Doug Honig, Director of Marketing. Hennings started at Sea-Land in 2015 in the internship program and was most recently the Marketing Communications Specialist. Hennings earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Cleveland State University.
